Dee Dee Sklar Women in Fund Finance Award
The inaugural Women in Fund Finance Award was first presented to Ms. Dee Dee Sklar in 2018 to honor her tremendous efforts to create the Women in Fund Finance initiative and increase engagement and participation of women in the Fund Finance community. The purpose of this annual award, now named the “Dee Dee Sklar Women in Fund Finance Award,” is to recognize a member of the Fund Finance community who embodies the mission of the Women in Fund Finance initiative and demonstrates their commitment to helping women succeed through connection, education and professional advocacy.
2025 Recipient

Leah Edelboim
Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP
Leah Edelboim, a Fund Finance partner at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, exemplifies the qualities celebrated by the Dee Dee Sklar Women in Fund Finance Award. A leader in her field, Leah combines legal excellence with a steadfast commitment to mentoring and advancing women. With over a decade of experience in fund finance transactions, including working on some of the largest deals with the biggest syndicates, Leah has consistently matched her focus on client service and innovation with, as Dee Dee once told a reporter about WFF, a dedication to “paving the way for rising women” within her firm. At Cadwalader, Leah runs the Fund Finance mentorship program for a trans-Atlantic group of nearly 100 professionals; and she participates in initiatives like the firm’s Sponsorship Program, its Women’s Leadership Initiative, and serves as a mentor to the firm’s new partners via its New Partner Mentor Committee, each supporting women lawyers’ career growth. A mother of three and fierce advocate for working moms, she serves as an informal mentor to women in the firm and the broader fund finance industry who are returning from maternity leave and transitioning back to work. She extends her impact through WFF and FFA, organizing events, mentoring young professionals, and amplifying women’s voices through Cadwalader’s weekly industry newsletter, Fund Finance Friday. Leah’s professional achievements, including advising on complex transactions and fostering client relationships, have earned her recognition from Lawdragon, who named her one of the “500 Leading Dealmakers in America” for 2025, and The American Lawyer. Her dedication to authenticity, mentorship, and excellence makes her a deserving honoree for this award. Congratulations, Leah!
